Vagabond — Agnès Varda
stylistically excellent film about the the lack of complete autonomy told from the perspective of the characters along the way. in the first half i admired mona for her vivacious, hard-headed attitude but towards the end she crumbled, faced with the anguish of reality. once a free-spirited drifter, she was crushed by the innate human hierarchical structure. the world is your oyster i guess. gonna go cry in existential despair now ( not in an incel way, in a counterculture way ).
Gummo — Harmony Korine
was a while ago but god this film makes me violently ill.
Ciao! Manhattan — David Weisman, John Palmer
watched this when i was obsessed with my favourite trust fund baby and campbell-enthusiast-velvet-underground-funny-banana-monke person. should probably rewatch but that would feel wrong.
Mulholland Drive — David Lynch
lovely little dreamscape shindig.
